I would tell people to get anything from an i5 and up from Intel. As long as you avoided Celeron chips or non “i” CPUs, you were pretty much going to get great performance. However, Intel recently decided to rename their light mobile chips from the M series to the i series, which only makes things more confusing when trying to figure out which notebooks have the performance you need. A minor inconvenience for me, but could be majorly confusing for someone that still has the impression that “i5” or “i7” is enough. Check to make sure they aren’t the mobile variants!
